But sadly, the way some people are, I shouldn't be surprised. I would never not tip a server either, but then I've worked retail so I know some people are just rude. I always tip what the cost of the total freebie/coupon would have been in our bill - if it was $7, I add that to the total before coming up with the tip amount. Really, I think these examples show the difference between being cheap, and being frugal.
